Why we are fundraising
We are working hard on upgrading the Petersham Bowling Club with a ramp and making it accessible to all. After all, everyone should be able to equally enjoy our pokie-free community-run club full of music, recreation and good times. Access is a right for all humans.
If we want to be the amazing little community club our community deserves, we must raise enough money to build this future for the PBC!
How you can get involved
Buying a beer from our special Ramp Tap, seeing a band or a live wrestling show, or simply donating or buying a raffle ticket – there are plenty of fun ways to get involved. Big or small, it really does all count!
What we have achieved so far
🎉 PBC Accessibility Fundraiser April 2025 Update, WE JUST HIT 100K! 🎉
We have just hit $100,000 overall for the fundraiser! This includes all of our fundraising activities we are doing at the PBC including onsite fundraising events like SHAM FEST & RAMPAGE, beer sales from our ramp tap, merch, major prize raffles and our go fund me donations, THANKYOU!
Since launching our GoFundMe at the unforgettable SHAM FEST in April 2024, we’ve been riding an amazing wave of community support and hard work to reach our target of 500k to make the PBC accessible. We just had SHAMFEST 2025 and together we topped up the fundraising with 20,000 to reach 100K!
During regular service; raffles with big prizes like The Mega Music Access Raffle, Christmas hams and Hoodoo Gurus tickets, weekly meat-n-veg raffles, and karma kegs from brewery partners plus direct donations via the GoFundMe campaign.
And we have been busy away from the bar as well, speaking to our councillors and MPs about our case for funding, as well as applying for government grants.
Maybe you were there for Rampage, a PWA x PBC pro wrestling fundraiser in February 2025? The energy was unreal when Tuckman body-slammed Ricky South and took the win. It was a knock-out event that raised $20,000 by itself, making the national news the next day.
All the support and excitement we have seen so far say a lot about who we are as a community and how we want to gather, celebrate and organise. We crave live music, sword fighting, baby animals, ham, dancing, beer, waterslides and wrestling – and we want these things to be universally accessible for all!
Keep showing up, donate where you can, buy some merch and share our fundraiser with your friends, so that next time, anyone and everyone can be a performer or punter at the PBC!
Here are all the ways you can show your support…
Lets raise critical funds to make the PBC an accessible place at the heart of our community for music, recreation and good times for all, because access is a right, not a privilege!
