Why we are fundraising

We are working hard on upgrading the Petersham Bowling Club with an accessibility ramp to make it accessible to all. After all, everyone should be able to equally enjoy our pokie-free community-run club full of music, recreation and good times. Access is a right for all humans.

What we have achieved so far

🎉 PBC Accessibility Fundraiser November 2025 Update, WE JUST HIT 400K! 🎉

We've been very busy with our fundraising efforts and have some incredibly exciting news to share...

The first is that we've reached $400,000 in our fundraising efforts! This has been through a combination of grants, events and amazing community support. A huge shout out to SoundNSW for their $100,000 allocated as part of their Venue Upgrades Grants Infrastructure & Equipment Program 2024/35 and to the NSW Government for the $78,000 from their Community Building Partnership 2025 program.

While these grants played a huge part in reaching this milestone we also couldn't have got there without our dedicated fundraising events, namely Medieval Day, Spring Fair, and our inaugural Oktober-West event - thank you to all who came along to those days, and to our brewery partners for the support.

The rest of the money has been raised through our week-to-week fundraising efforts - our dedicated Ramp Tap, mulled wine through winter, our weekly raffles, our Mega Music Raffle, dedicated fundraiser merch, and or GoFundMe Page, where we have just clocked over $15,000 of our $50,000 GFM goal.

The outpouring of support so far has been incredible, and has given us the confidence to book the job in! That's right - in March next year the work will be going ahead. It's incredible that what seemed like such a daunting task when we started this fundraiser in April 2024 is now a reality. We couldn't be happier and we can't thank you all enough for your support so far.
