Sham Fest 3.0 – Raising Funds for PBC’s Biggest Upgrade Since 1972!
Sham Fest is a free, weekend-long music festival taking over the Petersham Bowling Club on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February, featuring live music Jack Ladder, Palms, Memory Motel, The Melodrones, Lucienne, The Bancrofts, Retail Therapy, Magic Nic, Selene and The Strange, Valley Onda, Christian Values and more across the two days.
Alongside the music, there will be live closed captioning for every act, plus line dancing, Finska, lawn bowls, and Sculptures by the PBC, our reuse-and-recycle amateur sculpture competition on Sunday the 22nd. The outdoor bar will be running on the green, with pay-what-you-feel kegs from the legends at BentSpoke Brewing, with 100% of proceeds from the bar going directly to our access ramp fund.
Inspired by the grassroots festivals of Newtown and Marrickville, Sham Fest is uniquely Petersham. What began as a fundraising idea to support much-needed accessibility upgrades is now in its third year and with construction on the new access ramp kicking off in March, the goal is firmly in sight.
As a non-profit, community-run club, Petersham Bowling Club relies on local support to fund essential improvements. Accessibility is a priority, and Sham Fest plays a huge role in helping make the club welcoming to everyone.
Sham Fest is proudly supported by Inner West Council's Live Music Activation program, Yeah Rad, BentSpoke Brewing, and Reverse Garbag.
