By entering the PBC, you are agreeing to our Code of Conduct.
Do I need to be a member?
All bookings must become a member upon booking confirmation. You can renew an existing membership or start a new one at www.thepbc.org.au/join Becoming a member of a small community sporting club like Petersham Bowling Club is vital for preserving the spirit and inclusivity of local spaces. Membership helps sustain the club’s offerings—whether it's lawn bowls, live music, or cultural events—while directly supporting grassroots initiatives. Clubs like ours rely on community involvement rather than pokies or corporate funding, meaning your membership helps keep these spaces accessible, welcoming, and active. It also fosters a sense of belonging and ownership, giving you a voice in shaping the future of the club and ensuring it continues to thrive for generations to come.
Bar Tabs
Ask at the bar when you arrive and our lovely staff will begin one for you. We'll need a physical credit or debit card to hold for security. We do not allow any BYO drinks including kids juice, soft drinks etc on club premises.
Can children attend the PBC?
Absolutely. They must be accompanied by an adult at all times. When inside the venue they must remain behind the white line when near the bar (this is NSW law).
Children are not permitted on our bottom green unless playing bowls with an adult. Even after the bowls sessions appear to be done for the day, we ask you to refrain from kicking balls, running around and using the bottom green as a playground. It is for lawn bowls only.
There are two baby change tables and 5 high chairs available.
We do not take bookings for children's parties inside the venue and in the event of bad weather, we do not guarantee anyone a spot undercover/inside.
Food
The Grange Gully Bistro is independently owned and operated. You can inquire about their options here - https://www.thepbc.org.au/bistro. Pre ordering catering is advisable for groups over 20 ppl attending during peak meal times between 12-3pm and 5-7pm. Besides a cake we do not allow any other BYO party food or drink on the premises. The Bistro can store cakes in the cool room for you. No freezer space is available. BYO serving essentials including candles and a lighter, cutting knife, plates, forks, and serviettes. Ask at the bistro when you arrive about storing your cake.
Wet Weather
If it starts to rain we can’t make any guarantees on seating in undercover area's or inside as we often have ticketed events in the club and inside capacity is limited.
Are dogs allowed?
Doggos are welcome, outside and on a leash at all times but must stay off of the bottom green.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, the venue is not currently wheelchair accessible, although this is a high priority for the club to fix soon and you can read more about our plans and donate here. We have two ambulant toilets.
Bucks, Hens, 18th's and 21st's
The club isn't able to accomodate hens, bucks, bachelorette, bachelor, 18th’s and 21st parties and we reserve the right to terminate any booking if it goes against our booking terms and guidelines.
