PBC Recycling Program

 

In mid-2007, Petersham Bowling Club started a recycling program that has resulted in an enormous reduction in club waste going to landfill. The club now recycles:

 

• Bottles, cans, plastics, cardboard & paper.
   

• Milk and juice cartons.
   

• Bottle corks (Marrickville Council).
   

• Printer cartridges (Office Works).
   

• Kitchen vegetable scraps & paper straws into Compost Bins onsite.

 

In 2015, the Club engaged Organic Recycling Group as the waste and recycling service provider. The club has reduced the waste going to landfill by a third and all lawn clippings are processed into energy.
